GoCushy now auto-files to QuickBooks Online alongside Xero. Every paid order and renewal files a Sales Receipt, refunds file a Refund Receipt, and it never double-files. Keep your books wherever your accountant already works.
The unglamorous polish
Not every update is a headline feature. Some are just the small things that make running a business feel less like data entry. This is one of those: GoCushy now files your sales straight into QuickBooks Online.
We've had a Xero connector for a while, and merchants who live in Xero have been happy. But plenty of you don't use Xero — you use QuickBooks, because that's where your accountant works and always has. Asking you to switch accounting software to fit our checkout would be backwards. So we built the other side.
What it does
Once you connect QuickBooks, GoCushy files the accounting for you as the money moves:
- Every paid order files a Sales Receipt to your QuickBooks.
- Every subscription renewal files its own Sales Receipt, automatically, on each billing cycle.
- Every refund files a Refund Receipt, so your books reflect what actually happened, not just what sold.
You don't open a tab. You don't export a CSV at month-end and reconcile it by hand. The receipt shows up in QuickBooks because the sale happened. That's the whole idea.
Connect once, then forget it
Setup is a one-time OAuth connect — you click through QuickBooks' own login, approve GoCushy, and you're done. There are no keys to paste, no fields to babysit. After that it runs quietly in the background.
The part I care about most is that it's idempotent, which is a dry word for a real promise: it never double-files. If a webhook retries, if a renewal fires twice in an edge case, if anything hiccups on the wire — you still get exactly one Sales Receipt per order. Nobody wants to explain a phantom duplicate to their accountant, so we made sure it can't happen.
Xero or QuickBooks — your accountant's call
This isn't a replacement, it's a second door. Xero merchants keep the Xero connector. QuickBooks merchants get the QuickBooks connector. You pick the one your books already live in, and GoCushy files to it. Nobody has to migrate their accounting to use our checkout.
Both connectors are part of the optional Worldwide Tax & Affiliates Pack — the same add-on that handles tax on your own account. If you want the bookkeeping automated, the pack is where it lives. If you don't, GoCushy still runs your sales exactly the same way; you just keep filing however you file today.
Why this fits the rest of it
The point of GoCushy is that your AI runs your sales — you tell ChatGPT or Claude to spin up an offer, and the money settles on your own Stripe or PayPal, never ours. Auto-filing is the natural next link in that chain. The sale closes in chat, the funds land in your account, and now the receipt lands in your books too — without you touching any of the three.
We build in public, and that includes the plumbing nobody screenshots. Your AI runs the sale, your Stripe holds the money, and your accounting stays current on its own. That's the whole loop, and now it closes itself.
