Most checkout platforms give you one way to get paid, on their terms. You take whatever processor they resell, the money lands in a pooled account they control, and they decide when you see it. GoCushy is built the opposite way: you bring your own payment account, the money settles with you, and you pick the rail that fits how you actually sell.
Here's what that looks like today, and what's coming next.
Stripe, on your own account — live today
Stripe is the default rail, and it runs on Stripe Connect direct charges. In plain terms: you connect your Stripe account once, and from the first sale every charge is made on that account. GoCushy is never the merchant of record and never holds the money. You keep Stripe's normal payout schedule, your own customer records, and your existing dispute and refund flows.
That's also where real tax and invoicing live — Stripe Tax runs against your own registrations at checkout, and each sale can produce a sequential, compliant invoice. If you sell across borders, that matters, and it's covered in more depth on our use cases page.
PayPal, on your own account — live today
Plenty of buyers still reach for the PayPal button, and plenty of sellers don't want to leave that money on the table. So PayPal is a full rail too, not a bolt-on. You connect your own PayPal business account, and PayPal payments settle with you the same way Stripe ones do — direct to your account, no GoCushy in the middle of your funds.
The point of offering both is simple: a buyer who trusts PayPal and a buyer who wants to tap a card both convert, and both payments land in accounts you own.
Airwallex is next — what we're building
The rail we're building now is Airwallex. If you invoice in more than one currency, or you're based in the Asia-Pacific and want settlement that's native to the region, a Stripe-plus-PayPal world doesn't always fit. Airwallex is our answer to that.
It follows the same first-party pattern as PayPal: you'd paste in your own Airwallex account keys, and payments would settle with you — no platform onboarding, no GoCushy custody of your money. We've built the connection, one-time payments, and one-click upsells, and validated them against Airwallex's sandbox.
To be clear about status: Airwallex is not something you can switch on today. It's on a separate track, still going through real-card and webhook validation, and it will roll out to founding members after that. When this post says Stripe and PayPal are live, it means live right now; when it says Airwallex, it means the next thing we ship — not a button that exists yet.
Why own-account rails matter
All three rails share one design rule, and it's the whole reason to care: the money settles in your account, never ours.
- You own the customer. Their card, their PayPal, their email — on your account, not a platform's ledger you rent access to.
- You own the cash flow. Payouts run on your processor's schedule. There's no platform sitting on your balance deciding when to release it.
- You own the relationship if you leave. Nothing about your buyers is trapped inside GoCushy, because the funds and the customer records were never inside GoCushy to begin with.
That's a real difference from merchant-of-record tools that take a cut of every sale and stand between you and your buyers. With GoCushy, the rails are yours; we just give your AI agent the machinery to operate them.
